This policy explains what information Roamento collects, why, and the choices you have. Roamento is run by RufoStudio (Mohammad Ali, Bangladesh), which is responsible for your information. Questions go to hello.rufostudio@gmail.com.
1. Information you give us
- Account details: email address, password (stored only in hashed form), name, username, bio, profile photo and the social links you add.
- Google sign-in: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and Google account ID from Google.
- Your content: moments (titles, descriptions, photos, captions, location and date if you add them), collections, and whether each is public or private.
- Messages to us: anything you send to hello.rufostudio@gmail.com, including reports about content.
2. Information collected automatically
- View counts: when someone views a profile or moment, we record a one-way hash of either their account ID or their IP address and browser details, plus the date. The hash can't be turned back into the IP address. It lets us count unique visitors once per day; profile owners only see totals, never who visited.
- Server logs: our servers log technical details such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and times, to keep the Service secure and fix problems.
3. Cookies and browser storage
Roamento doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies, and doesn't track you across other websites. We store your sign-in session in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in, and if you try Roamento before signing up, your draft is kept on your device until you create an account. This storage is needed for the Service to work, and you can clear it at any time in your browser.
4. How we use your information
- To create your account, sign you in and show your profile and content.
- To show public content on your profile, on Explore and in link previews.
- To send account emails, such as email verification and password resets.
- To show you view counts for your own profile and moments.
- To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse and enforce our Terms.
- To respond to your messages and reports.
We don't sell your personal information or use it for advertising.
5. Public content
Your profile (name, username, bio, photo and social links) and any moments or collections you mark as public can be seen by anyone, including people who aren't signed in, and may be indexed by search engines. Private moments and collections are only shown to you.
6. Who we share information with
- Service providers that host the Service, store files and send email for us, only as needed to run Roamento.
- Google, when you choose Google sign-in, and when a moment is automatically translated: the moment's text is sent from your browser to Google Translate.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our users or the public.
These providers may store data outside Bangladesh. We only work with providers that protect it appropriately.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your account and content until you delete them. When you delete your account, your profile, moments, collections and photos are removed, apart from copies in backups, which expire within a limited time. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security.
8. Your choices and rights
- Access and correct: you can see and edit your profile and content at any time.
- Control visibility: make any moment or collection private.
- Delete: delete your account from your profile settings.
- Get a copy or object: email hello.rufostudio@gmail.com to ask for a copy of your information or to object to how we use it. We reply within 30 days.
9. Security
Passwords are hashed, connections to Roamento are encrypted, and access to user data is limited. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
10. Age limit
Roamento is not for anyone under 16. If you believe a younger person has created an account, tell us at hello.rufostudio@gmail.com and we will delete it.
11. Changes
We will update this policy when our practices change and show the new effective date above. For significant changes we will let you know on the site or by email.
